Brett H. Billeter
Independent Insurance Agent
Experience
I’ve been working in this industry for over 10 years. In that time, I’ve developed a good understanding of what kinds of products actually meet the needs of my clients. I’m fully licensed and independently contracted to work with a wide range of carriers. I’m a big believer in professional improvement, making time for regular continuing education and am always working to enhance my skills and expertise.
500+ Satisfied Clients
I am committed to providing individualized service. I take the time to build relationships with each client and understand their unique needs and wishes. As those needs may change over time, I follow up regularly to ensure my clients are satisfied and have the right coverage.
Integrity
I am not “that guy” that’s just there for the sale. I am very careful to make sure that the plans we put in place are a good fit for you and are appropriate for your needs and budget. I do my best to make sure you understand your coverage and that you are confident that it’s the right thing for you.
Specialized
Medicare, individual health, life insurance, long-term care and asset protection are my areas of focus. I feel it is important to be an expert in one area instead of a Jack-of-all-trades. If you need help with services I don’t offer, I’m happy to refer you to one of my professional associates.
Getting to know Brett
I am the quintessential local: I live less than a mile away from the East Millcreek home I grew up in, earned my degree at the University of Utah, and have always called Salt Lake City home. But that’s not to say I’ve never spread my wings! During college, I became involved with an international service group, and participated in several service trips abroad. I learned to speak Laotian in Texas, of all places, and put my skills to use on a solo trip to Laos and Thailand.
Honest work has always been a way of life for me. I started out cutting lawns as a boy and working for an electrician as a youth, and went on to purchase a small souvenir penny business as a young man. I’ve spent time volunteering at a residential care center and working other jobs too, but I found my niche in 2011 when I joined an insurance brokerage and started doing what I do now. Then, in 2019, I took the plunge and went fully independent with Billeter Financial and Insurance Services, and further expanded my offerings.
My wife, Kristen, and I are happily raising four adorable, silly, energetic daughters who range from age 12 down to 6. As you might imagine, our home is a hive of activity, and my girls often say, “Daddy, you’re girl trapped!” Even our pet snake is pink, but I love it!! Hopefully, I’ll still love raising girls when they’re all teenagers.
I enjoy being in the mountains and exploring the outdoors. Nothing fills me up like hiking a slot canyon, a thrilling ski run, or sitting around a campfire with my girls. My wife, who may have been born with gills, is also teaching me to enjoy paddle boarding and other watersports. Like any other man, I like to engage my creative side with “small” building projects around the house.
I’ve worked at places where success is measured only by how much money you’re bringing in, rather than how well you’re taking care of your people. Don’t get me wrong; this is how I feed my family, but I truly believe that when I help you enroll in the services and benefits you need, I’ll be taken care of as well.
